    A dementia diagnosis affects the whole family. Knowing what support is available — and when to ask for it — can make an enormous difference to everyone's quality of life.

    The first weeks after diagnosis

    Give yourselves time. There is rarely any need to make big decisions immediately. Focus first on understanding the type of dementia and the likely progression.
