Helping families find the right care for over 25 years

Our story

Care Choices is an independent publisher. We started out with a mission to provide useful information to people looking for care, pulling together all they needed in one place. We worked with local authorities to produce regional care directories, listing all the care homes and home care agencies in local areas. Over 25 years later, we are still producing these free regional care guides, with essential information explaining how the care funding system works, what types of care are available, and who to contact when you or a loved one needs care.

The Care Choices website acts as a companion to these guides and explains in clear terms all people need to know to understand how the adult social care system operates, as well as providing an easy search for care tool to help anyone looking for care to find the care homes and home care agencies that are right for them.

Our other products

Since the inception of Care Choices, we have added to the brand, with Care Management Matters (CMM) and My Family, Our Needs (MFON). These were both brought about to help other people involved in social care, with CMM going out to the managers running care businesses, and MFON supporting and celebrating parent carers.

Together, our three brands share clear and concise guidance to people who don't have the time or skills to trawl the internet; host informative online and face-to-face events where like-minded people can meet, learn and share experiences; and celebrate those making outstanding contributions to the social care sector with two annual awards ceremonies.

Our ethos

We are a small organisation with ever-expanding ambitions. We've heard personally from people we have helped across the sector, and we hope to continue helping more and more people in the years to come.
